Brandy Nicole Strait

Greetings in the Precious Name of Jesus! Thank you for visiting Love Is My Crown.  I am so incredibly blessed to be a daughter of the King; wife to my high school sweetheart–Eric Strait; and mama to Erica, Aaron, Alexandria & Abby. I have been walking with the Lord for 26 years, and I have been married to my precious husband for 20 of those years. I created Love Is My Crown to share the experiences I’ve had along this journey of life, marriage, and motherhood.

The Lord has brought my family and I through so many heartaches and trials. At the worst of times, it felt we would never make it through, but God delivered us in ways that only He can. He has richly blessed me in so many ways, and for a while now, I have had a burden to share my testimony, words of encouragement, and revelation He has given my husband and I through the Holy Spirit. I don’t want to be like the wicked and lazy servant that Jesus speaks of in The Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25: 14-30. The wicked servant hid the talent his master gave him because he was afraid, and when the master came back to see what the servant had done with what he had left him, he was displeased that he had not multiplied the talent. The master took what little he had and gave it to another servant who had been diligent to make his talent multiply. I want Jesus to come back to find me being fruitful and diligent over all he has given me, so here I am to sow the seeds that I have.

I pray you will find encouragement in all my posts. In each and every one I purpose to be genuine, open, and as accurate as possible about how I feel the Lord is speaking to me whether it’s through His Word, His still small voice, or through a dream. Recently, the Lord has been giving revelation to my husband and I through dreams. We have been writing our dreams down for a couple of years now, and I will share some of those on the “Dreams” page. Some of them will be mixed in on my “Encouragement” page because they are just that–encouraging! Other dreams I share are warnings from the Lord that must be approached with much prayer. Prayer for this nation, for our leaders, for the Body of Christ, and for our loved ones who are not walking with the Lord.

Above all, I pray that everyone who reads any of my posts will come to the full knowledge of the Love of God through Jesus Christ. 1 John 4:8 tells us that God is love. We must love others to walk in Him, but before we can love others, we must love ourselves and be convinced of Romans 8:31-39.

31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This portion of scripture is a beautiful picture of our Heavenly Father’s unconditional love. I encourage you to be convinced of His great love for you no matter what mistake you may have made. Confess your sins, call out for forgiveness, and receive His grace to change your ways. He gave his Son so that you may receive His love and be free from guilt and shame. From this day forward, be determined to make His love your crown, and be forever adorned with it’s beauty!
